2009-2010 Spec Truck Rules

 

 

SpecT-1      Chassis: Any commercially available 1/10th scale direct drive pan car chassis is eligible, must maintain the original manufacturers main chassis plate.

                 

SpecT-1a    After market bumpers are permitted but must not protrude outside of the body.            

                 

SpecT-1b    Max width = 9.875", Min Width = 7.25", Max length = 20", Max Wheel Base = 11", Min Wheel Base = 9", Ride Height (bottom chassis) = .1875" minimum

 

SpecT-1c    Weight of the car race ready - including transponder (personal or track supplied) must be 40 ounces or 2.8 lbs

                 

SpecT-2      Bodies: Bodies must be of NASCAR truck style - Approved bodies are as follows: McAllister - Flying M Bodies: #176, #218, #215, #203, HPI - #7735 & 17500 Venom T-10, #7401 Chevy Silverado, #7051 Ford F-150, #7050 Dodge Ram, Protoform / Proline - #1478-00 Chevy Silverado

                 

SpecT-2a    Bodies must be realistically trimmed - wheels wells must be cut out with 100% of the tire visible.

                 

SpecT-2b    Bodies must be realistically painted: Windows must be transparent.

 

SpecT-2c    Rear spoilers are permitted with maximum height of 2" from top of truck bed.           Rear of body cannot be removed.

 

SpecT-2d    NO REAR WINGS ARE PERMITTED

 

SpecT-2e    The Hooter Chassis Outlaw Tour Sticker Must Be placed On the Rear Window Area of the body.

 

SpecT-3      Batteries: THE ONLY LEGAL BATTERIES are the TRINITY STREET / SPEED SPEC 1600mah 4 CELL STICK PACKS. The batteries must remain in the original shrink wrap - no reconfiguration / alteration of the battery packs is permitted in any way. Battery packs must maintain the original sticker at all times. 

 

SpecT-3a    Battery Connectors MAY BE changed, Battery wire connector length not to be shortened significantly – just enough to justify connector change if made.                                                                                                

 

SpecT-3b    NO RECEIVER PACKS ARE PERMITTED

 

SpecT-4                      Motors: Motors will be supplied & distributed by The Hooter Chassis Outlaw Tour at each event - one motor per entrant will be given out & that motor is to be run the entire event.  Motors will be numbered for tracking.   

 

SpecT-4a    These motors will be the sealed 540 motors - NO MODIFICATIONS ARE PERMITTED TO THESE MOTORS IN ANY WAY.  Any changes to the motors will result in a DQ for the event as well as a replacement motor charge - this charge must be paid before the person is allowed to run any further Tour Events from that time forward.  If a motor is found altered it will be removed from the Tour Supply & that number be made clear to all Tour participants.           

 

SpecT-4b    Motors must be returned at the end of the event - Any motor not returned will result in a DQ & replacement motor charge.  The person who last had said motor will not be eligible to participate in any further Tour events until the charge has been paid. - If a person leaves with said motor they have bought it & may not just return it at the next event.  Must provide cash value.                 

                 

THESE RULES ARE TO ENSURE THE MOTORS ARE KEPT UN-ALTERED IN ANY WAY & PROVIDTHE BEST EQUAL CONTROL FOR THE CLASS.

 

SpecT-5      Tires: SPEC FOAM TIRES ONLY ARE PERMITTED                                                      

                  Legal spec tires are by Trinity & BSR & T.M. - any color compound allowed                  

                  Wheel Diameter - min = 1 5/8", max = 2"                                                                       Tire Width - min = 3/4", max = 2"
