CRATE LATE RULES:    2010-2011

 

Crate – 1:    Chassis:  Any commercially available 1/10th scale direct drive pan car chassis is eligible, must

                    Maintain the original mfgs. Main chassis plate.                                       

 

Crate – 1a:  After market  bumpers are permitted but must not protrude outside of the body.

 

Crate – 1b:  Max. width = 9.875”, Min. Width = 7.25”, Max. length = 20”, Max. wheel base = 11”,

                    Min. wheel base = 9”,  Ride Height (Bottom chassis) = .1875” minimum.

 

Crate – 1c:  Weight of the car race ready – including transponder (personal or track supplied) must be

                    36 ounce. Min.

 

Crate – 2:    Bodies:  Bodies must be readily available DIRT Late Model Body such as those from

                    McAllister, RJ Speed or locally made HoverCrafts.

 

Crate – 2a:  Bodies must be realistically trimmed – wheel wells must be cut out with 100% of the tire

                   Visible.

 

Crate – 2b:  Bodies must be realistically painted:  Windows must be transparent.

 

Crate – 2c:   Rear spoilers are permitted with max. height of 2” from top of rear deck.

 

Crate – 2d:   NO SIDE DAMS ARE PERMITTED.

 

Crate – 3:     Batteries:  4000 – 25c – 1 cell

 

Crate – 3a:   Receiver packs are allowed.

 

Crate – 4:     Motors:  Any Sensored 17.5

 

Crate – 5:     ESC:  any 200 or less.

 

Crate – 6:     Tires:  SPEC FOAM TIRES WITH RING ONLY ARE PERMITTED.

                     Legal spec tires are mfg. by Trinity, BSR and TM – any color compound allowed.  Must have spec  

                     Ring.  Wheel diameter – min. = 1 5/8”, max. = 2”;  Tire width – min. = ¾”, max. = 2”
